1. What is CPC?

This is a metric indicative of your short term advertisement performance. It is arrived at as follows:

  1. Take the total cost incurred by the campaign so far
  2. Divide the same by Number of clicks obtained due to the advertisement display

For example, if your advertisement has incurred INR 1000 and got 20 clicks, CPC is INR 1000 / 20 clicks, which is 50.

2. If only the highest bidder gets their advertisement displayed, will my Advertisement ever be shown?

Yes. Your advertisement can still be shown.

There are three factors which determine whether an advertisement is shown or not:

  1. Overall budget for the Advertisement
  2. Daily budget for advertisement
  3. Bid price

Even if another advertiser has bid a higher price, if their Daily/overall budget is exhausted, their advertisement will not be considered for display.

In that case, if your campaign has the highest bid, it will be displayed.

3. What bid should I give to make sure my advertisement will get displayed?

Advertisement bids can change depending on the number of advertisers and Inventory (number of emails sent/received).

Typically, weekends see much lesser emails than in weekdays. Since inventory is lesser on weekends, your advertisement, which may have been displayed during weekdays may not be displayed during weekends.

Check out the Lowest winning bid for the past one week. This is the lowest bid amongst all the advertisements that were displayed.

While conditions may have changed since then, keeping your advertisement bid a little above the amount given will maximize the chances of your advertisement being displayed.

4. How can I decide whether to choose "Outgoing Mails"?

Depending on your product/service, selecting "Outgoing Mails" may be helpful.

Products/Services for which selecting "Outgoing Mails" will definitely be helpful:

  1. Product/service is applicable for most (if not all) verticals. For example, Printer suppliers will find buyers in all verticals and in this case choosing "Outgoing Mails" will be useful.
  2. While it is not possible to determine the location of the recipient, by nature of most email communication, most of the communication happens within the same country. But on average, 5-10% of these recipients are from a country different from the originator of Emails.
  3. If your product/service has worldwide usability, consider selecting "Outgoing Mails". For example if you have a world wide sales/partner Network or yours is a web based solution, you can consider "Outgoing Mails" option.

If you are still not sure, we would suggest the following:

  1. Do not select "Outgoing Mails".
  2. Run the campaign for at least a week (recommendation would be to run for two weeks).
  3. See the statistics generated by SAFENTRIX-Ads Control panel for your advertisement.
  4. Now add "Outgoing Mails" to the campaign.
  5. Run the advertisement for an equal amount of time.
  6. See the effect of this change on the parameters.
  7. The comparison will show if selecting "Outgoing Mails" is worth for your product/service.

8. I see the Number of impressions for my advertisement campaign going down. How is that possible?

While the above is a rare sight, it is possible because of the Fraud detection features of SAFENTRIX-Ads.

  1. SAFENTRIX-Ads runs an Email through its Fraud detection features.
  2. If the features do not flag the Email, your campaign is charged and the advertisement is appended to the Email.
  3. Some Frauds can only be detected after the Advertisement gets appended to the Email.
  4. If SAFENTRIX-Ads detects such frauds, it does a refund to your Advertisement campaign.
  5. In this case, the Budget left in your Campaign goes up and Number of impressions comes down.
  6. If you monitored your Advertisement using SAFENTRIX-Ads Control panel, before and after the refund, you will see the number of impressions going down.

There is nothing to Worry about here.
