1. What is SAFENTRIX-Ads?
SAFENTRIX-Ads is a portal that allows organizations to create, run and manage Email marketing campaigns using Advertisements, for their products/services.
2. Where will the Advertisements be shown?Advertisements will be shown on the SAFENTRIX Standard Edition Email Security Service platform.
SAFENTRIX is a Free Email Security Service that provides Anti Virus/SPAM protection to organizations world wide. SAFENTRIX blocks Virus/SPAM at SMTP level and forwards the genuine emails to organizations.
Each advertisement is appended as a signature to the genuine Emails sent/received by SAFENTRIX users.
3. What is the format of advertisement?Each advertisement can consist of
- One line of proportional text (maximum 80 characters), and
- URL to redirect to
Both the promotional text and URL will be appended to the Email.
A sample advertisement is shown below

There are two major class of SAFENTRIX users. Educational institutions and Businesses (including Non-profits).

SAFENTRIX-Ads Control panel provides many tools, including performance metrics (like CPC, CPM) as well as Graphical reporting to see the short term effectiveness of your campaign.
7. How does SAFENTRIX-Ads compare to Web advertising?- Shelf life of web advertising is very low. An advertisement can generate a maximum of one visit to your web site. The advertising effectiveness stops as soon as you stop the campaign.
- SAFENTRIX-Ads has a shelf life of months (if not years) and since Emails are reasily searchable and often stored for long, can get you results long after the campaign has stopped.
- Like Web advertising, it is easy to gauge the short term effectiveness of SAFENTRIX-Ads.
- Like Web advertising, SAFENTRIX-Ads is very flexible:
- Create many advertisement campaigns to see the one that gives the best results.
- Target advertisement campaigns towards specific locations.
- There are often multiple web advertisements and your advertisement could be seen right next to your competitors. In SAFENTRIX-Ads, only one advertisement appears per email.
SAFENTRIX-Ads follows a bidding model on a "Number of Impressions" basis.
You can specify a bidding price for your advertisement. The base bid price is INR 0.05/0.125 Cents (US).
You can bid for any price at or above this level.
Whenever SAFENTRIX gets an Email where an advertisement can be placed, it checks all the eligible campaigns (ones whose daily and overall budgets have not been exhausted) and selects the one with the highest bid.
If your advertisement offers the highest bid, then it is appended to the Email and your campaign charged.
9. Can I have advertisements in any other format, like a Banner, or a Display ad?No. As advertisements are appended to Normal emails, they need to be brief and unobtrusive to be useful and acceptable.
10. Can SAFENTRIX-Ads Advertisements be considered SPAM?No.
SAFENTRIX never sends emails directly to users. SAFENTRIX provides Email SPAM Filter service to organizations. The SPAM Filter blocks all Virus/SPAM emails and forwards the genuine emails to organizations.
SPAM filter service is provided in two editions:
- Enterprise Edition: Client pays for service and no advertisement gets appended.
- Standard Edition: Client gets the service free, and an advertisment gets appended to each email sent/received by this user.
Client chooses the Standard Edition with the full knowledge that
- It will contain advertisement (one per email), and
- It will save costs for the organization (as the service is free).
Advertisements are only appended to genuine emails received/sent by SAFENTRIX Standard Edition users.
SPAM, by default, is Unsolicited Email and therefore SAFENTRIX-Ads is not SPAM.
